South Caucasus Railway: By the Children's Side

On the eve of Knowledge Day on September 1, the South Caucasus Railway (SCR) company traditionally prepared gifts for schoolchildren. Twenty-two first-graders at the Fioletovo school received school backpacks and essential supplies.

As part of this initiative, gifts were also prepared for 19 high-achieving students at the school who demonstrated excellent academic results. Through this effort, SCR aims to support schoolchildren while encouraging their diligence, hard work, and desire to acquire knowledge. This annual charitable initiative is a key focus of SCR’s social activities, designed to support the younger generation, stimulate an interest in education, and help create favorable conditions for children's learning and development.

Additionally, the SCR trade union provided support to 90 first-graders belonging to the company's employees, equipping them with necessary school supplies. Another 236 children of company employees were sent to the "Gugark" children's and youth camp for their summer vacation.
With the support and direct participation of Russian Railways, summer vacations were also organized for the children of SCR employees at the "Staraya Ruza" children's health resort in the Moscow region. As part of this summer campaign, four children aged 13–16 attended a 21-day shift in August.

Organizing children's recreation is a vital component of SCR's comprehensive social policy, which is dedicated to supporting employees and their families. The company operates under a collective agreement that outlines a broad spectrum of social guarantees and benefits.

The primary areas of social support include organizing children's summer vacations, providing assistance to railway workers' families upon the birth of a child or when a child enters the first grade, medical support, complimentary travel privileges, and various other social programs.

SCR continues to consistently expand its social programs, viewing the care of its employees and their families as a crucial element of its corporate policy and a fundamental pillar in building a cohesive and stable workforce.
