Dear compatriots, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia informs

From January 1, 2026, in accordance with the Law of Georgia "On Tourism",

all tourists entering Georgia will be required to have medical insurance and accident insurance.

Every tourist entering Georgia is required to present a document confirming the presence of insurance,
in paper or electronic form, issued in Georgian or English.

The insurance document can be issued by both Georgian and international insurance companies, and the insured amount must be at least 30 000 GEL.

The insurance coverage must contain the following information:

• ▪️ The parties to the insurance contract


• ▪️ Coverage area


• ▪️ Insurance object


• ▪️ Start and end dates of the insurance period


• ▪️ Insured risks


• ▪️ The amount of the insured sum


• ▪️ The amount of the insurance premium, the place and time of its payment

The insurance must be valid from the moment the tourist enters Georgia until departure, for the entire period of stay in the country.
