The South Caucasus Railway CJSC staff honored the memory of railway soldiers

For the holiday, the main railway stations of Armenia were decorated with the appropriate attributes and installations, and the company's electric trains were decorated with St. George ribbons. On May 9, a festive concert was held at the Yerevan railway station with the participation of the Music School named after M. Mirzoyan, a partner of the South Caucasus Railway CJSC. The company's employees also held a campaign to give St. George ribbons at the station.

Earlier, the company, together with the Russian House in Armenia and representatives of the 102nd military base, founded an alley of thujas near the Mikoyan House Museum in Sanain, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Also, the company's website has a section called "Thank you, Grandpa, for the Victory!", which contains information materials about railway soldiers and relatives of South Caucasus Railway employees who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

Director General of South Caucasus Railways CJSC Aleksei Melnikov: “Armenian railway workers took an active part in bringing Victory closer. About 600 thousand Armenians fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. 60 Armenian generals commanded large units of the Red Army, and 70 thousand Armenian soldiers, officers and generals were awarded orders and medals of the USSR. The highest award – the title of Hero of the Soviet Union – was awarded to 106 Armenian servicemen. I congratulate all of us on the Holiday. I am sure that our common history will be filled with new victories!”
